Hawkers checked out my Subaru's brakes and suspension. I scheduled an appointment and they had a quick turnaround. ... They were honest with me about what I should have done and what would be ok to wait on. They didn't charge me to take a look which I appreciated. Worst shop ive ever been to, paid 900$ to get a leaky main seal replaced and they tried to fix it 4 times with no... success and wasted months of my time, now 2 months after my last visit where they replaced my radiator they put rubber caps to seal one side of it, both these caps dried out and began leaking all of my coolant out every time i drive. 0/10, if you dont believe me get your car trashed by them too!read more

I took my Jeep Cherokee here for A/C and some other repair. The first time it was charged and given back and it leaked... out. I was so disappointed. I was able to take my vehicle back to them. This was where they shined. When I spoke to them, they told me exactly what the deal was. They gave it their best efforts ad my lovely moody Jeep (don't buy from ft collins jeep) was not having it. They fixed most things okay, but I had them look at my pulleys three different times and the problem is still... occurring. I was pretty easy going about it each time. They said it was fixed all three times and twice tried to have me drive off with it in the same condition. Pretty sure they just greased the belt so they could move on. They also fixed my power steering pump but it still had trouble the first time, so they had to go back in and do it a second time. The second time worked. Overall they will fix 80% of the problems. You will need to check over their work. They also charged double the cost of all the parts they ordered. Example for just one. They replaced my catalytic converter and said it was $679, on NAPA it was $210. If you’re a female they will price gauge you. Wouldn’t recommend.read more

Dealing with these folks was an absolute nightmare and Ive had to spend a month trying to fix my car after taking it... here. HUGE mistake. Dealing with these folks has caused MAJOR distress in my life, psychologically and financially.Go to the BBB to see my complaint.Further, I have now interacted with the manager & owner several times, not to mention their glassy eyed mechanics. I have had the manager pretend to understand what was going on with my repair only to admit later that he was actually 100% in the dark the whole time. He attempted to push me into repairing two items completely unrelated to my problem (another mechanic confirmed this). He got so combative I literally had to tell him to settle down.Lastly, I have personally heard the owner, Bill, ABSOLUTELY misrepresent details of my repair to make his hands appear clean of any fault.I WILL TESTIFY, WITH EVIDENCE, TO THAT IN COURT.-Jackread more

What wonderful things to say about the team at Hawker's that haven't already been said? Any engine light, any weird... noise, any issue I've had, has been met with an honest appraisal and quick fix, all for incredibly fair prices. I've had ongoing engine issues for years, and the team at Hawker helped me understand the root problems and fixed the underlying issue where other auto shops kept selling me on fancy oil changes and engine flushes to treat the symptoms, not the cause. I found myself in a situation where my check engine light began flashing at me. Luckily I was very near Hawkers at the... time. This is the worst situation to be in when entering a mechanic's office for the first time. Tim greeted me, asked some great questions and had a good idea of what to expect by the end of our conversation. He was very honest and upfront from the beginning. He said he could get the car diagnosed before the end of the day but would be at least three days before he could complete the repair. I agreed to the terms and Uber'ed to the nearest rental car company. Corey called me only two hours later, said he has already found the problem (faulty fuel injector) and said he had a cancellation and can have it completed by tomorrow. Corey provided a thorough diagnosis and a sincere recommendation but with no pressure. He laid out several options on how to proceed, he included his best rec, but provided other cost-friendlier options as well. Hawkers could have exploited my situation and I would have had very little recourse, but instead I received incredible service and honesty from the beginning through the end. What an incredible place. I may have found Hawkers by accident, but I will be back for all of my auto repair needs. I am so grateful to all of you.read more

We were stranded at a gas station with alternator issues, and these guys saved the day. They even offer a shuttle service when your car is in the shop and you have no way to get home. Tim and Ellis were my drivers and they got me home and back to the shop safe and sound to pick up my car. They were absolutely wonderful, friendly and just all-around amazing. I took one of my cars to Hawkers for some work and when I went to pick it up following the service, there was a rather... large dent on the hatchback door. I complained, as that dent was definitely not there previously, and was accused of lying by the staff. After talking through it some more, they offered a free oil change, which was decent of them, I thought. I took them up on that and brought my other car in for that and a brake pad and rotor replacement. Less than 5,000 miles later, I hear a grinding noise and smell brakes burning while driving. I then take the car to a different mechanic and they state that the brake pads are of such poor quality that, despite being at 12mm still, they overheated and blued the rotors. Now, I will need to replace the pads and rotors again, after less than 5,000 miles, as well as flush the brake fluid due to that likely being compromised with the overheating. Would never return nor recommend Hawkers to anyone.read more

Went to Hawker's Muffler Fort Collins in need of a muffler. I was referred there and had not been previously. The... crew diagnosed a worn gasket and told me I DIDN'T need a new muffler. I so appreciated their honesty, when they could easily have installed a muffler I didn't need and I'd never have been the wiser. In and out in less than 30 minutes. If I could give 10 stars, I would. Let me start by saying I've always done my own mechanic work to save money. I... don't anymore because I completely trust these guys. There have been at least 3 occasions where I wasn't sure what was needed, but I thought I had properly self-diagnosed the problem. EVERY TIME, I WAS WRONG, AND I HAD BUDGETED FOR A MUCH LARGER REPAIR AND PARTS BILL! If I had attempted to do the work myself it would have 1)cost more, 2)wasted my time, and 3)wouldn't have fixed the problem. I've had multiple vehicles in there over the past few years, and often they're time consuming diagnostics to figure out what's going on. Cory and his team there are absolutely amazing. I don't know how explain how genuine, honest, and thorough the Hawker's team is, unless you've been there before. I have never had a mechanic, and now that I've found these guys, they're the only ones who will get my business. You guys still do business the right way, and you've impressed the heck out of me, which is nearly impossible to do. If you're shopping for a mechanic, just stop wasting your time. I was in need of a new catalytic converter for an older model Toyota Prius. I called and talked to Cory, got it... scheduled and he got the parts ordered, and the work was completed within days. Much to my surprise, Cory called within hours and said he thought I said the car was newer than it is, and he was able to get the right part in the morning and it was going to be CHEAPER than what he quoted me! What?… That never happens! The vehicle was done by lunchtime. This shop was $2,200 cheaper than the dealership in town. Hawker's Automotive just won over at least one new customer. I've already recommended them to someone in need of a good mechanic. Go there, you won’t be disappointed.read more

Hontest, integrity, affordable and AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE! Hawker’s Automotive is the most stand up auto shop! They... have had to work on my car this last week and couldn’t find what was a matter. Finally they did and the part was bad once they put it in. Now it’s as good as new and man did they take great care of me!
